Bharadwaja was considered as one of the greatest masters on Ayurveda. It was he who pioneered the teaching of Ayurveda.

He propagated this vast knowledge on Ayurveda to the sages and followers around him. Latter day treatises on Ayurveda like Charaka Samhita and other sources confirm this. All   authors on Ayurveda have been greatly influenced by this great authority on Ayurveda and have borrowed heavily from him. It is believed that he lived for three generations. The fact that some present day drugs are named after him is a tribute to this great master of Ayurveda
