Panchakarma is group of 5 Ayurveda Therapies consisting of Vamanam, Virechana, Snehavasti, Kashayavasti and Nasya. The Ayurveda Doctor selects suitable Therapies and administer the patient to neutralize the disharmony of his Doshas and thereby the cause of his ailments.
Once the disharmony of Dosha is found, the doctor prepares medicines with fresh as well as dried herbals then and there. So it is important to consult an Ayurveda doctor before starting a Pacnhakrama treatment.
Panchakarma treatments are administered to eliminate the impurities, toxins and metabolic wastes accumulated in the body. Panchakarma shall be administered under proper guidance of a highly trained Ayurveda doctor or Practitioner. Before the actual purification process begins, the body is to be prepared in prescribed methods to encourage the release of toxins or Ama. There are three phases in body purification process. They are Pre-purification phase, Main-purification phase and Post-purification phase
